“With its transfer to the center of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the greatest facilities we’ve ever had, this year is especially significant for the WSOP,” WSOP executive director Ty Stewart said in a press release. Stewart is playing in his 17th World Series of Poker.

“At Bally’s, the soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris, we’re eager to welcome players from all over the globe to our housewarming celebration. The calendar is jam-packed with world-class tournaments, and we anticipate this year’s WSOP to be the largest and most anticipated ever.”

Masks and evidence of vaccination will not be needed at this time, according to CDC and state rules.

A look at WSOP’s new home & what to expect

The WSOP intends to fill the whole convention area at both the Paris and Bally’s hotels. With over 200,000 square feet and 600 poker tables, this will be the highest tournament capacity in the event’s history.

Players can discover a broad range of events this year, ranging in price from $400 to $250,000. The main cage will be in Paris, while the television set will be in Bally’s Event Center. The two structures are joined by a parking garage.

Players in bracelet events may get discounted hotel rooms at Bally’s, Paris, and other Caesars Entertainment locations if they book early.

The WSOP will collaborate with CBS Sports for a second season of coverage, which will be streamed live on PokerGo every day. Poker aficionados will be able to watch 18 distinct bracelet events, including the Main Event, which will be broadcast for at least 15 hours.

Actor and poker player Vince Vaughn will serve as the WSOP’s debut master of ceremonies, as revealed during the previous Main Event.

Rumors continue to swirl that the WSOP may be moving to the Las Vegas Strip and players have begun expressing their opinions on the issue.

The series’ high points

There is enough of tournament action to see in Las Vegas for players. This features a $500 opening event entitled “The Housewarming,” which has a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million.

Last year’s $500 “Reunion” proved to be a hit with 12,973 entrants. WSOP organizers are hoping for similar results with the Housewarming. Here’s a look at some other The series’ high points.

Massive weekend activities (June 11–16)

Every Friday and Saturday, the WSOP’s main No Limit Hold’em tournaments will take place. With multi-million dollar prize pools, The Millionaire Maker, Monster Stack, Colossus, and The Closer all return.

$1,000,000,000.00 Mystery Bounty (July 2-4)

This new event was initially scheduled to take place in 2020. The competition includes a $1 million mystery reward that contestants must draw for. The action starts with a conventional tournament, with those who make through to day two taking the bounty of those they knocked out on day one. Each player who knocks out another player receives a bonus reward.

Champion’s Tournament (July 18-20)

The WSOP finishes with the $1 million Tournament of Champions, which is accessible to any of the 88 bracelet winners and WSOP Circuit ring winners from the 2022 season. This tournament attracts both local grinds and worldwide celebrities.

Mid-stakes competitions (June and July)

No Limit Hold’em events have been added to the schedule, with buy-ins ranging from $2,000 to $5,000.

Bounty for High Rollers (May 31)

This new $100,000 buy-in tournament is expected to draw a large number of players with large bankrolls. Each knockout gives each participant a $25,000 bonus.

Heads-Up Competition (June 2)

The buy-in for this renowned tournament has been raised from $10,000 to $25,000, and the field has been limited at 64 players. Expect a slew of prominent personalities to join in the fun.

$1,000 Flip the coin and go! GGPoker is the host of this event (June 12)

After being transferred over to a live version from GGPoker, this popular online format is back. On the first hand of the tournament, all players are in pre-flop. Each participant is assigned three cards from which to choose two. One player wins the table and goes into the money right away. After then, the competition follows a regular format.

Seniors Championship for $1,000 (June 22-23)

This popular event returns, with participants having the option of re-entering once more.

Sevens are a lucky number (July 10-12)

A $777 tournament featuring a $777,777 first-place prize.

Bounty from the Poker Hall of Fame (July 10)

Members of the Poker Hall of Fame are honored during this occasion. The $1,979 buy-in reflects the fact that the hall was established in 1979. Members of the Hall of Fame are eligible for a freeroll in the tournament. Each of them has a bounty that corresponds to the year they were admitted into the Hall of Fame. During the ceremony, the inductee for 2022 will also be named.

Deepstacks on a daily basis

These non-bracelet tournaments continue to be popular among players with lesser bankrolls. On most days, tournaments are held at 2 p.m., 5 p.m., and 9 p.m. in the Paris Ballroom. Satellite tournaments and daily live action will also be held there.
