For several months now, PokerStars has been running its COOP series, which is a series of tournaments that run simultaneously in certain states, with qualifiers in some states and official tournaments in others. The reason for this is to make sure all the lanes are always moving.

Pokerstars has announced they are bringing the COOP series to the US, by running 4 table tournaments simultaneously. The Pokerstars COOP series will now take place in Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

PokerStars is cranking things up even more for this year’s Championship of Online Poker (COOP) tournament, now that they’ve made gains in three US states. This year, the famous event will take place concurrently in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey from September 10 to 27.

The series has a total prize fund of $4.5 million guaranteed among the three states. The Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) and the Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP) both have the biggest guaranteed prize pools in the history of their respective states’ COOPs.

In Pennsylvania, participants may compete in 65 events with a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million. Michigan players can expect 65 events with a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million.

The New Jersey COOP (NJCOOP) will match the $1 million guarantee starting in 2020 and will host 60 tournaments.

Schedules for the PokerStars COOP

PokerStars has announced several major two-day main events in each state, which will begin on September 26. All have a $300 buy-in, and below are the guarantees for each state’s main event:

  • PACOOP – $200,000 PACOOP – $200,000 PACOOP – $200,000
  • $150,000 MICOOP
  • NEW JERSEY COOP – $100,000

All main event winners get a COOP trophy in addition to the championship prizes. COOP champions in each state will also get six extra trophies from PokerStars. There are 21 prizes to be won throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan.

With buy-in prices as low as $10, all three series should include a wide range of event formats. The business aims to offer gamers of various skill levels, bankroll sizes, and ability levels the opportunity to become champions.

All series will get further marketing.

PokerStars is boosting the series’ promotional power once again. Players from three states may earn their way to COOP by completing the following tasks: 

  • $3 Spin & Go’s – These fast-paced, three-handed tournaments feature a randomized prize pool. These events will also award main event satellite tickets through Sept. 26.  
  • Second Chance Freerolls – Any COOP participant who does not make the money is automatically included into these events. Each state’s freeroll will receive $5,000 in COOP tickets.
  • Depositor Freeroll – Players that make a deposit of $30 or more before September 26 will be included into a COOP Depositor Freeroll. There will be 50 Main Event seats available during the event.

PokerStars has had a busy month. The three US tournament series follow the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) on the worldwide stage. The series lasted from August 22 to September 15, with a guaranteed prize pool of $100 million. The three schedules are shown below.
