Online poker revenue is on the rise in March, according to PokerScout. The industry saw a total of $191 million in online poker play across all games with more than 12 billion hands played.

The “online poker revenue statistics” is a report that shows the growth of online poker across the board in March. The report was released by PokerScout.com on April 2nd, 2018.

The number of states that have legalized online poker increased dramatically in March. March Madness aided in the growth of online casino and sports betting.

The craziness continued when significant online poker event series were released by PokerStars, partypoker US Network, and WSOP.com. Online poker is now available in the following states in the United States:

The Garden State online poker sites cashed in at over $2.5 million in March. The New Jersey is a state in the United States. Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) reported a nice month-over-month increase for the legal operators.

Partypoker has been the top operator for two months in a row, with a total of $981,831 in March. This is also a significant increase from the $890,387 recorded in February.

Gaming taxes account for 8% of taxable casino gross income and 15% of gross revenue from online gaming.

Internet poker in Pennsylvania reaches $3 million, and online gambling breaks new milestones.

Not only is Pennsylvania the most profitable state for online poker in the United States, but it also established iGaming records in March. The Keystone State recorded $3.2 million in poker revenue in March, up from $2.8 million in February. 

There are three options for online poker in the Commonwealth right now:

PokerStars is the top-ranked platform in the state, and it is operated by Mount Airy Casino. In March, the site reported $1.9 million in revenue, up from $1.6 million in February. 

With $918,959 in revenue, WSOP.com, which is partnered with Harrah’s Philadelphia, was also up month over month.

Through Rivers Casino and Penn National, the Partypoker US Network (BetMGM/Borgata Poker) is a combined player pool. The firm made a minor profit of $381,227.

For the first time, internet gambling in Pennsylvania set a new high of $110 million. According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, total gaming revenue (including online and live) was $462.7 million in March.

The state’s yearly growth rate was 24.4 percent. According to the PGCB, iGaming taxes alone totaled $48.9 million in March.

The launch of WSOP.com in Michigan made national headlines lately. This was on top of the announcement that the state had signed an interstate agreement.

Another record was broken by the Wolverines. Online casinos and poker pulled in $131.6 million in revenue, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB). The previous high was $122.8 million, reached in February.

Because the state mixes poker and internet gambling in its income report, this statistic includes online poker. The income from online poker isn’t put out individually. In the state, there are presently three online poker operators:

  • PokerStars
  • BetMGM is a casino that accepts bets (part of the partypoker US Network)
  • WSOP.com

BetMGM held a Cheap Stakes Series in April after a successful March Mania. Monthly series are still available at BetMGM. 

After finishing its Michigan SCOOP, PokerStars had a strong month and should continue to do well in April. USPoker recently spoke with a Michigan player who won three SCOOP championships in one day. 

WSOP.com is new to the state, but it isn’t taking any chances with its promos. This spring, WSOP Online Circuit tournaments and WSOP Main Event satellites will be held, according to the website.

The Mid-States Poker Tour just announced a stop in Battle Creek at FireKeepers. In May, the series culminates with a $1 million guaranteed tournament.
