The BCLC was eager to declare that someone from British Columbia is the newest member of the Canadian lottery millionaires list shortly after Wednesday’s draw. The fortunate ticket bearer lives in West Vancouver and was the winner of the life-changing CA$10.2 million prize in the October 20 draw. Everyone who plays the lottery should double-check their tickets and call the lottery office.

The winning numbers for Wednesday’s multi-million prize were 06, 09, 34, 35, 48, and 49, and the winning ticket matched all six of them. The winner now has up to 52 weeks to contact the BCLC and collect their reward. In addition, one ticket bought on PlayNow.com won CA$500,000 after matching all four Extra numbers in the October 20 draw.

The Lotto 6/49 jackpot winner will have up to 52 weeks to contact the Crown agency and claim their reward. The Crown will then ask the fortunate winner to pick up their check at a BCLC office. Meanwhile, the company encourages everyone to play for pleasure rather than profit. If a player has a gambling issue, they may seek advice and information through the GameSense program.

The Lotto 6/49 Winner Has Been Announced

The BCLC also disclosed the name of another Lotto 6/49 winner who just won half of the game’s prize. Juanita Parnell is the winner, and she is from Prince Rupert. Her ticket numbers matched all of the winning numbers in a recent game round, and she is now worth CA$5,790,419.90.

Mr. Parnell stated that she nearly missed the ticket buying deadline but was able to purchase at the last minute while visiting a BCLC office to collect her reward. She also said that when she first began playing the lottery, she chose the numbers 7, 18, 19, 38, 42, and 46 at random and never changed them. Now that the statistics have finally paid off, she intends to spend time with her grandkids on vacation.

Victory in History

The Crown agency also revealed at the end of September that a ticket holder from the province was the only winner of the massive Lotto Max prize of CA$70 million. The winner has yet to contact the Crown company, but he has plenty of time since the 52-week deadline is plenty of time to contact a financial adviser. The prize is the biggest lottery prize in British Columbia’s history.
