Atlantic City is the perfect place to enjoy a variety of amazing restaurants during Restaurant Week. The city offers an array of unique dining options for every taste and budget, so you’ll find something for everyone.

The 50 bites atlantic city 2020 is a restaurant week that will happen in Atlantic City. It will be the first time it has been done in over 20 years.

Restaurant Week in Atlantic City began on Sunday, October 3 and will end on Friday, October 8. It’s a six-day event where you can receive full three-course lunches and dinners for a fraction of the usual price at some of the area’s best casino and non-casino restaurants.

Then, beginning on Thursday, October 7 and running for 50 days, until Wednesday, November 24, 50 Bites returns!

This year, 50 Bites is just $25!

When the offer initially began, customers who paid $50 in advance got a pass and a lanyard that allowed them to visit each participating restaurant once for the specified item. Later, for those who waited until towards the conclusion of the campaign, the price would be reduced to $25.

This year, though, the fee is just $25 right away, making it a great bargain.

You’ll find everything you need to know here, from how to get your pass and lanyard to which restaurants are participating and what they’re providing.

50 Bites begins on Thursday, October 7 and runs for 50 days.

Restaurant Week will conclude on Friday, October 8th, which is a shame. The good news is that another deal for all of you foodies out there–50 Bites–is just getting started!

Restaurant Week in Atlantic City: Everything You Need to Know

Atlantic City may not yet be on par with New York, Philadelphia, or even Las Vegas in terms of being a world-class eating destination, but it is on its way there. For example, I write in my NJ Online Casino post from September 22 that a branch of the globally renowned restaurant Nobu would debut in Caesars Atlantic City next season.

However, you don’t have to wait till then to sample some of Atlantic City’s and the neighboring towns’ finest cuisine. The only drawback is that, with the high expense of eating out in a nice restaurant, many of us cannot afford to do so on a regular basis.

During Restaurant Week, however, all of the participating restaurants have reduced their rates to reflect what you would have spent for a similar dinner in the past, without sacrificing quantity or quality.

During this offer, how much will a lunch at a participating restaurant cost you?

A three-course lunch will set you back just $15.21, and a three-course supper will set you back only $35.21. That’s just a 2 cent increase over the $15.19 and $35.19 lunch and dinner prices from the previous time Atlantic City Restaurant Week was held in 2019. So, don’t worry about inflation. It isn’t even considered in the calculation.

Previously, Atlantic City Restaurant Week was held in March. However, owing to the epidemic, it was canceled in 2020. It’s also possible that March 2021 was too soon. However, since the CDC estimates that 64 percent of the New Jersey population has been completely vaccinated against COVID-19, the risk of acquiring the virus by engaging in such an activity is low.

So, rather of waiting until 2022, this week is a wonderful time to take advantage of a fantastic chance to have one or more decadent yet inexpensive restaurant dinners you won’t soon forget.

What is included in the stated pricing of $15.21 and $35.21?

An appetizer, main meal, and dessert are included in all lunches and evenings. Beverages, tax, and gratuity, on the other hand, are not included.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to choose from the whole menu of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. In most cases, you have a choice of two or three products in each category (or occasionally, a few more). The same products are sometimes available on the normal menu as well. However, in other cases, these are unique meals available just during Restaurant Week.

If you have any specific dietary requirements (for example, reduced sodium, vegetarian, no butter or cream, or steamed instead of fried), please specify them when placing your order. You should be able to get a table at one of the nicer places.

Should you make reservations in advance?

Advance bookings are either needed or strongly advised in most cases due to high demand. It’s also a good idea to double-check the operating days and hours ahead of time. Every day, not every restaurant is open.

Furthermore, based on my own experience, I suggest that you set out at least 12 hours (two hours at fine dining places) for a pleasant, unhurried dinner. If you have another planned activity after dinner, such as a concert, be sure to arrange the meal early enough so you don’t have to hurry yourself or the waiter, and you have enough time to travel to your next location in case of bad traffic.

Which restaurants will be open during this year’s Atlantic City Restaurant Week?

The deal is only available for supper at most establishments. However, some of them provide both lunch and supper, while others just serve lunch. You may see a full list of participating restaurants here, along with their location, phone number, days and hours of operation, and Restaurant Week menus.

In addition, below is a separate chart that shows the unique Restaurant Week deals at each of the nine Atlantic City casinos for your convenience. To prevent disappointment, double-check with the restaurant directly for the precise start and finish hours of service for a particular dinner.

What’s not to like about 50 Bites?

I’m not sure why 50 Bites is being given so soon after Atlantic City Restaurant Week. I would have liked the promotion to take place at a different time of year.

Of doubt, many individuals will be disappointed by the paucity of options. Each participating restaurant chooses one item to offer ahead of time–take it or leave it. Of course, you are allowed (but not obliged) to order a beverage and/or anything else on the menu at the same time to wash down the meal, but you will be charged extra for both.

There are many more areas where 50 Bites, in my view, falls short.

Buying the pass and lanyard separately may be more convenient.

Getting a pass and lanyard isn’t as easy as it used to be since none of the Atlantic City casinos and hotels offer them. You have two choices instead:

  • Visit The Press of Atlantic City’s Pleasantville office at 1000 W. Washington Avenue. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Purchase your pass and lanyard online and have them sent to you for an additional $6.

Many of the eateries are located outside of Atlantic City.

Only 26 of the 60 participating restaurants are located in a casino hotel in Atlantic City. While it is great that several off-the-beaten-path eateries have decided to join, I believe that the bulk of casino players would like to use the 50 Bites choices at the same location where they are playing.

Furthermore, only Bally’s, Hard Rock, Resorts, and Tropicana provide numerous choices out of the nine casinos in Atlantic City. Each of Caesars, Harrah’s, and Borgata has just one participating location, while Golden Nugget and Ocean (shame on them) have none.

Finally, why do so many of these snacks have to be fried and heavy in calories, salt, or sugar? A few of heart-healthy appetizers or vegetables might be a nice touch.

Last but not least

Don’t even attempt to take advantage of all of the restaurants that are providing Restaurant Week or 50 Bites specials. Instead, set aside some time to do some prior preparation so that you may visit a range of restaurants that you know will appeal to you.

Another option is to have a couple of 50 Bites this Thursday and Friday instead of a normal meal. You’ll be hungry enough for a Restaurant Week supper in a few hours.

Otherwise, I suggest spacing your 50 Bites out across many days rather than cramming them all in on one or two days. Unfortunately, the majority of these “bits” aren’t very nutritious, so consuming too many of them in a short amount of time isn’t recommended.

I hope you all have a great time taking advantage of Atlantic City Restaurant Week and 50 Bites. Good luck with your meal!

Atlantic City Restaurant Week is here and 50 Bites starts on 10/7. This event will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ. Reference: restaurant week nj 2021.
